Driver:
- Minimum age is 14 years old unless approved by
track official.
Chassis:
- Rear wheel
drive cars, maximum of 103-inch wheelbase.
- Two or four door sedan, compact pickup or
station wagon body with steel top allowed. (The following cars are
not allowed: two seat sport cars, convertibles, Mau'la
Rotaries, Volkswagen bugs).
- No rear or mid engine cars.
- Wheelbase must remain factory stock on both
side of car.
Body:
- Frame and body must be absolutely stock for
make, model, and year of car or you may have Dirt wedge mod late
model or Late model body style.
- Plastic racing noses and tails allowed.
- No tube frame cars allowed.
- No modifications or cutting allowed to
firewall. All cars must have a complete firewall-separating engine
from driver and complete firewall separating driver from fuel cell.
- All interior glass, chrome, door handles,
lights, trim, and anything else that may come loose on impact must
be removed.
- All doors must be welded or bolted shut.
- Fenders may be cut for tire clearance. No
internal reinforcing allowed, rub rail on side of body is allowed,
it must touch body for the entire length of rail and be no larger
than 1 ½” OD round or square.
- All cars must have a minimum of two hood pins.
Hood must be flush with firewall.
- Hole for air cleaner is allowed (maximum 14").
Hood and trunk may be gutted.
- No other gutting or cutting allowed, except
front fender wells may be removed for roll cage installation only.
Weight:
- The minimum weight after a race including
driver, must be 2,200 pounds.
- Add on weight must be securely bolted or
welded and painted white with car # on them.
Suspension:
- Must be stock type.
- No welding springs solid or using wood blocks
in springs.
- No solid suspension allowed. Shocks must
remain in stock location.
- After market springs and shocks are allowed.
- No aluminum shocks.
Steering:
- Stock steering box must be in original stock
location.
- No center steering.
- Driver seat must be on left side of drive
shaft hump.
- No modifications of hump allowed. Chain
steering or box reduction is allowed.
- Quick release steering wheel is permitted.
Engine:
- Must have been produced for consumer use in
that make of car (GM in GM, Ford in Ford, Etc.)
- Engine size must be inline four cylinders with
maximum displacement of 155 cubic inches or 2450 CC.
- Ford powered cars maximum 140 cubic inches.
- Milling of heads to increase compression is
permitted.
- No angle milling or milling past intake bolt
threads allowed.
- No porting or polishing of heads allowed. No
port matching.
- Any flat tappet cam, valve spring, rocker and
lifters are allowed.
- No oversized valves, only two per cylinder
allowed. Any flat top pistons permitted.
- Bore size allowed Stock plus .060 plus .010
for wear.
- Engine must have 15 inches of vacuum at 1200
RPM hot.
- O.E.M. crankshaft and O.E.M. stock
connecting rods and rod lengths.
- Stock stroke only.
- No modifications other than standard engine
balancing allowed.
- After market oil pans allowed. OIL pans must
have a 1” inspection sight hole for visual rod inspection.
- Stock cast iron exhaust manifolds with exhaust
pipe directing spent gasses under the car.
- Mufflers are
mandatory and must keep the car at 95 decibels or less. No supper
trapps.
- Engine location must remain in original
position.
- Solid motor mounts allowed. All O.E.M. parts
must bolt on without modifications.
- No Ford SVO, Nissan Motor Sports, ect. parts
allowed. Manufacturer number must be clearly visible for inspection.
Carburetor:
- One two-barrel carburetor only.
- 500 CFM maximum with maximum venturi size of
1-3/8" and maximum butterfly size of 1-11/16".
- Carburetor with venturi size larger than 1-3/8
must run restrictor plate restricted down to 1-3/8".
- If electric fuel pump is used, an automatic
oil pressure cut off switch is required.
- Battery type ignition in stock location, only.
- No magnetos, dual point, MSD type boxes or any
other after market electronic ignition not allowed.
- GM ignition modules allowed on ford powered
cars.
Brakes:
- Must have O.E.M. hubs and brakes with a
minimum of three wheel brakes in working order.
- Four-wheel brakes are recommended. No after
market pedals- master cylinders etc.
Wheels:
- 13", 14", and 15" wheels maximum 8" wide steel
wheels only.
- Wheels may be reinforced. Big lug nuts may be
used.
- No aluminum wheels allowed. Purpose of 8" is
to allow IMCA wheels. (They are available cheap ask around)
Tires:
- Street DOT tires only.
- Maximum size 235 75, 235 70, 235 60 or IMCA
tire.
Roll Cage:
- Must consist of continuous hoops not less than
1.666 inches outside diameter with wall thickness of at least .095
inch. Low carbon, mild steel tubing is recommended.
- Must be frame mounted in at least 6 places. No
brazing or soldering allowed.
- Must consist of a configuration of front and
rear hoops connected by tubing on the sides or side hoops.
- Driver's head must not protrude out side of
cage with helmet on and strapped in drivers seat.
- Must have minimum of one cross bar in top halo
of roll cage.
- Roll cage must be securely supported and
braced.
- Protection of feet is mandatory bar across
back of engine with vertical bars and rub rails, or similar
protection.
- No brace bars forward of cage may be higher
the stock hood height. Main cage no further than engine plate.
- Fire Extinguisher required and must be mounted
within easy reach of strapped in driver.
- Driver must be able to remove extinguisher.
Quick release bracket is mandatory.
Door Bars:
- Minimum of four driver side door bars, at
least 1.5 inch O.D.
- Must be as parallel with the ground as
possible, and located perpendicular to the driver so provide maximum
protection for the driver, but without causing undue difficulty in
getting into and out of the vehicle.
- The sidebars must be welded to the front and
rear cage members.
- Must have at least three cross door bars
minimum 1.25 inch O.D., on passenger side of car, either horizontal
or angled. (Steel doorplates welded to door bars will be required on
driver's side. 18-gauge or .049-inch minimum thickness metal).
Rear End:
- Any O.E.M. stock rear end. Locked rear end
O.K.
Transmission:
- O.E.M. standard or automatic transmission:
Automatic must have torque converter.
- All cars must have clutch scatter shield or
blanket 6"width and 12" length.
- Scatter shield may be fabricated from '/a"
minimum steel and secured to the floor cover clutch area.
- Transmissions must have all working forward
and one reverse gear.
- No dog clutches or mini disc clutches allowed.
- Front wheel drive permitted. O.E.M. flywheel
only, must use stock diameter clutch and stock diameter steel
pressure plate.
- If transmission cooler is used, it must be
mounted in engine compartment.
Bumpers and Nerf Bars:
- Stock front and rear bumpers only.
- Stock bumper may be backed up with pipe and
looped back into the frame.
- Front bumper must be line (center) in original
location.
- Bumper must not extend any farther forward
than 2" in front of any front body part.
- End must bend back into the frame and be
rounded (no blunt end or sharp edges). Tow loops front and rear
required. Single loop radiator brace can be installed, but must be
placed just in front of radiator.
- Radiator must be in stock location. Nerf bars
are optional, but if used, they must be flush against the body.
- Maximum pipe or tubing size is 1-1/2" O.D.
Ends must be bent into the body. No blunt or sharp edges.
- Nerf bars must be located between the wheels
and between the rear tire and bumper.
- Must be connected to bumper to prevent cars
from being hooking bumpers.
Fuel Cell:
- Racing fuel cells required and must be mounted
by at least two solid straps, two inches wide around cell.
- Fuel cells are limited to 16 gallons maximum
capacity.
- Pickup must be underneath fuel cell. A limit
of one standard fuel filter allowed between fuel cell and
carburetor.
- Fuel Cell must be relocated a safe distance
from the driver in the trunk department with a firewall between fuel
cell and driver.
- Firewalls must be steel and constructed where
flames cannot enter the drivers compartment, under or over firewall.
- Trunk floor may not be removed and must have
holes for ventilation and drainage.
- If fuel lines pass through drivers compartment
they must be conduit.
Fuel:
- Gasoline only, no performance enhancing
additives.
Radiator:
1. Only one radiator
allowed, and it must be mounted in a vertical position in front of
motor.
- An electric fan is allowed.
- Fan shrouds must be approved by tech official.
Battery:
- Battery must be securely mounted.
- If mounted in drivers compartment, battery
must be in a battery box.
- The battery must be in good working condition
and capable of starting the car.
Interior:
- May be boxed or tubed in.
Car Numbers:
- Car Numbers must be 2" wide and 24" tall.

regulations set forth herein are designed for the orderly conduct of
racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such

THESE RULES AND OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the
conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or
death to a participant, spectator, or official.
The race director shall be empowered to permit
deviations from any of the specifications, herein, or impose any further
restriction, that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable
requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT
FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviations
of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their
discretion is final.
